There is another way to show your love for the green and white this year. This time in your pocket.

The Royal Canadian Mint is confirming a commemorative loonie to celebrate the Saskatchewan Roughriders centennial.

The Mint's Alex reeves confirms "the government approved at the end of last week a one dollar commemorative coin".

The design is a closely guarded secret and Reeves is giving nothing away. But he will say there will be plenty of this loonie in circulation. "That quantity is always dictated to by the needs of the marketplace." He concedes Riders fans aren't just in this province but all over Canada.

Reeves isn't willing to reveal when the coin will be released.
