All-star Saskatchewan Roughrider quarterback Darian Durant left the field at the morning practice after suffering an injury to his throwing hand.
He banged his throwing hand off the shoulder pad of a defensive lineman during a scrimmage. Durant injured his index finger but feeling returned a few minutes later, now the trainers are only concerned with any swelling that could happen in the next couple of hours. He left the field in noticeable pain but returned to watch the remainder of practice.
Head Coach Ken Miller is confident the Roughriders starter will be able to play on Sunday.
