It could have been disastrous for Team Green. Center Jeremy O'day had to be helped off the football field during Monday's first practice with an ankle injury. X-rays came back showing no break but a sprain that will shelve him for the next week to 10 days. Head coach Ken Miller says he first thought the ankle was broken which would have been terrible news for O'Day and the team. He figures O'Day won't see the field for game action until the regular season begins June 28 at home against Edmonton.

Holy crap, that's a relief!
Holy crap, that's a relief! I was reading on other blogs that it looked like it may have been a knee injury, wich would've been DISASTEROUS but the ankle being sprained is a little more on the positive side, although I'd rather have O'Day 100% at any rate. Hope he heals up fast and completely
