Riders React To New CBA

Drug Policy Implemented
Posted June 29, 2010 - 4:39pm

The Canadian Football League and their players have agreed to a new four-year agreement.

The biggest news was the CFL is implementing a drug testing policy, with random blood and urine testing beginning in 2011.

Roughriders' player representative Jeremy O'Day says it is a great move to even the playing field and sets a good example for the CFL that testing is taking place. O'Day doesn't believe testing will find many players cheating, "My personal sense is that (taking drugs) is very low. I'd be very surprised if there was a big problem with it."
