Congratulations to Rider fans....fans that have stuck with this team through thick and thin. Fans that have driven from wherever to watch their beloved team play, fans who buy lottery tickets, fans from Victoria to St. Johns who cheer for the team with the "S" on their helmet. It is for people like you that you have endured many years of pain that I feel good for tonight. While I would have liked to have seen Calgary win tonite so that the Riders could win it in front of you on Sunday, it takes nothing away from what has taken place.

And The Half-Time Entertainment Is....
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 17, 2007 - 12:25pm.If you listened to the DRSS show last night, there was a tremendous buzz floating around Toronto about the half-time act for Grey Cup 07. Names like AC/DC, the Police and Bon Jovi were being floated around as were Canadian acts Rush and Nickleback. The league made it official as to who it will be today and its none of the 5. Performing at halftime will be.....................Lenny Kravitz.
Another Top Canadian Award For Fantuz
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 17, 2007 - 11:05am.Andy Fantuz is starting to own the CFL's Canadian of the week award. The Rider receiver winning the award for the 3rd time this year after his performance in Hamilton on Sunday. One would think Kerry Joseph might have been named the offensive player of the week for his efforts in that game but it would seem as if there is more than one person besides Rob Vanstone outside of Calgary in love with Henry Burris as the Stamps quarterback takes the award.
Lottery Sells Out
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 16, 2007 - 4:40pm.The Friends of the Riders Touchdown Lottery is sold out--22 days in advance of the November 7th deadline. As a result, the draw will now be held October 25th instead of November 7. Over 1.26 million dollars in cash and prizes will be given away including the grand prize of 100-thousand dollars.
What Next??!!
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 16, 2007 - 12:18am.If dealing with adversity makes one stronger than the Riders should have a Charles Atlas like mentality to them today. Its been bad enough that this football team has had to deal with a season ending injury to Matt Dominguez and one to Eddie Davis that cost him half the season.
One Step Closer
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 14, 2007 - 10:07pm.I think the Rider Nation knows the drought is over but the football team has still not clinched that ever so elusive home playoff game....one that hasn't been seen on Taylor Field since 1988. However the team is one step closer to that goal after a solid win on Sunday and they have reached the 10 win plateau. Yes, the days of mediocrity are over and when all is said and done this team could have 12 or 13 wins to close out the regular season.
Flick Will Play
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 13, 2007 - 11:54pm.Just received the official word from Hamilton. DJ Flick will be in uniform for Sunday's game. Flick missed virtually all of practice leading up to this week's game after flying home to be with his wife who gave birth to premature twins.
W2W4-What To Watch For
Submitted by Mitchell Blair on October 13, 2007 - 9:40pm.First off, watch a playoff team. Yes, the BC win over Edmonton clinches a playoff spot for the Riders. ( I know, I know, you would much rather have had Edmonton win and really why didn't Stefan Lefors run it in instead of trying to throw it in at the end.....I digress)Remember that a Winnipeg win and a Rider win means the home playoff game will be a reality. That being said, here's what I'll watch for tomorrow
