As part of the 42nd annual Santas Anonymous several members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders helped to collect toys for children who might otherwise go without.

Marc Parenteau, along with several other Riders, signed autographs on Monday night at the Northgate Mall.

Customers were instructed to bring a new, unwrapped toy for charity in exchange for receiving an autograph.

Parenteau has been a supporter of the Salvation Army for several years and says that the organization could always use a boost during the holiday season.

“A lot of families need some gifts for Christmas and they are a little short this year.”

Bins for the charity are around the city Tuesday.

On Saturday the presents will be wrapped at the Regina and District Food Bank before being delivered through the Salvation Army to kids in need.
