The relatively quiet off-season continues for the Saskatchewan Roughriders as they've added some depth at some skilled positions.
The team announced on Thursday that they've signed import quarterback Seth Doege and import receiver Brett Swain.
Doege joins the green and white from Texas Tech University. The 25-year-old finished his NCAA career by setting a school record by completing 69 per cent of his passes good enough for 8,646 yards passing and 69 touchdowns. In 2012, his senior year, Doege threw the second most touchdown passes in college football with 39; he also threw for 4,215 yards. Doege was also named MVP of the Meineke Car Car Bowl.
Doege spent last season on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad.
Swain comes to the CFL after six seasons in the NFL having played for Green Bay, San Francisco and Seattle. Over those six years Swain played in 27 games catching eight balls for 87 yards.
Swain played his college ball at San Diego State where he made 133 career catches for 1,893 yards.
As usual, terms of the deals weren't released.
