Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Andy Fantuz is still unsure if he'll be able to play on Saturday against the Calgary Stampeders.
Fantuz was limited during Wednesday's practice due to his nagging ankle injury.
"It's still bugging me a bit. It was nice to get out there and run. I'm feeling okay on it but it's still day to day."
Fantuz has just three catches in two games since returning from a try out with the Chicago Bears in early September. Fantuz missed last week's game against the B.C. Lions.
Head Coach Ken Miller says Fantuz' status will clear up on Thursday, when the Roughriders hold their final workout before Saturday's game.
Walking wounded
The Roughriders are also facing injuries in other phases of the game.
Receiver Dallas Baker continues to experience post-concussion symptoms after landing on his head during a freak play at Tuesday's practice. Baker is doubtful for Saturday's game, which means James Robinson may get back on to the roster.
Defensive lineman Keith Shologan is expected to play after missing Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury. Linebacker Jerrell Freeman is in the same boat after tweaking his hamstring during Tuesday's practice.
News and Notes
Head Coach Ken Miller cleared the air after his passionate defence of his team's effort in last week's 42-5 loss to B.C. Miller says he wanted to make it clear the fans should never question the effort of the team because they play hard every play.
Miller also says running back Brandon West will likely see a heavier workload as the week's go on due to his play.
