The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is on the heels of  Santa Claus as he travels throughout North America on Christmas Eve.

At 3:00 p.m. Santa was spotted in Moscow, Russia with his next stop expected to be in St. Petersburg.

You could call it a miracle near 51st Street after a twin-engine geosurveying  plane narrowly missed a grocery store, homes and cars and crashed on wall in north Saskatoon this spring.

On April 1, the plane crashed just past the intersection of 51st Street and Wanuskewin Drive in Saskatoon's north end.

Eyewitnesses like Ian called in from the crash site the night went down.

“It landed on top of the sound barrier. One wing is on one side of the sound barrier. The other wing is flipped over on the other side,” he said.

The Regina Police Service has arrested a 48-year-old man who was thought to have had a gun on a city bus in downtown Regina.

Lara Guzik with the Regina police says at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday the police received a report about a threatening call on a city bus.

“Regina Police Service responded to a threatening call of a person on a bus who had muttered some threats about harming people on the bus,” she said.

Guzik says the man, however, did not have a firearm.

Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Andy Fantuz used a two-minute youtube video to downplay the rumours surrounding his pending free agency.

Fantuz thanked fans for their interest but wanted to address the story circulating that he turned down an offer by the Riders that would have made him the highest paid receiver in the Canadian Football League.

"Lots of different rumours coming out of Saskatchewan," said Fantuz from his family home in Ontario.

It's the final week before Christmas and holiday decorations are popping up all over Regina.

Volunteers from all over Regina came to the Regina and District Food Bank on Saturday to wrap toys to be donated through CJME's Santas Anonymous campaign.

Santas Anonymous, which is in its 42nd year, will help nearly 2,000 kids in need this Christmas.

Alexandria Renwick was helping out for her 11th year and could hardly contain her excitement.

“This is morning exciting than Christmas morning to me. I couldn’t sleep last night,” she said.

“This is so much fun.”

Renwick is only 16 years old and was volunteering with her aunt, brother and friend.
