All eyes will be glued to the screen tonight for the Saskatchewan Roughriders' first game of the season.

Andy Fantuz, former beloved member of the Riders, makes his premiere tonight for his new team, the Hamilton Tigercats.

"It will be nice to see all of the guys before the game, but once we come back from warm-ups it will be all business and it will just be a football game," Fantuz said.

"I can't wait to get out there and play with the new team in front of the crowd. It's going to be electric, first game of the season, Friday night lights. It's going to be a lot of fun."

He said he knows the first game of the season is always big and has no problems that it's against his former team.

"I think it's great for the league, I think it's great buzz around the whole last season of Ivor Wynne. Everything just seems to be coming together," he said.

Sometimes when a player changes teams there are hard feelings, but Fantuz says that isn't a problem here.

Though he admits, there will probably be some trash talk.

"Probably guys like Dressler, Bagg, Getzlaf and Durant, you know those boys," he said.

Fantuz grew up in Chatham, Ontario and has been told at least 150 people from his hometown will be showing up to the game.
