The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have once again looked at the Saskatchewan Roughriders for help in 2010. Quarterback Steven Jyles has taken a job with the Bombers after a week deciding whether to come back to Saskatchewan as a backup and get the chance at the starting gig in Winnipeg.

Jyles should be very comfortable in Winnipeg with former Riders offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Paul LaPolice and Jamie Barresi now in Winnipeg.

Jyles will likely compete with Stephan LeFors for the number one job after the Bombers released Michael Bishop.

Meanwhile, the Riders announced the signing of safety James Patrick. Patrick was another of the Riders free agents and had a decent first year as the Riders starting safety picking up two interceptions and 56 tackles in 2009.

The Riders have five free agents remaings (Eddie Davis, Wes Cates, Marcus Adams, Gerran Walker, Clifton Washburn)
