Saskatchewan Roughriders Head Coach Ken Miller says the Riders are in the business of change and the last month has been true to his word.
The latest bit of change is offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice taking the head coaching job with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Miller will start the interview process over the weekend but it sounds as though hiring from within is the likely scenario.
The internal candidates are quarterbacks coach Jamie Barresi and offensive assistant Marcus Crandell, with Barresi being the front runner. Miller says he will interview outside the organization adding that he may take a larger role in the offense and take over some playcalling in 2010.
Miller was the Roughriders offensive coordinator in 2007 and handled almost all the playcalling duties before being named the Head Coach following Kent Austin's departure.

Lapolice
Lapolice was really good but he's gone so whatever if anything CRANDELL should be the guy! Why? because he is former player he would know what play to call he knows all the players and their strengths. Crandell is who I want as O. Coorinater not barresi. What do you guys think
Re-Lapolice
I agree totally that Crandell should be the guy.
Like you say, he knows the players,+ who better knows what plays to call than an X-Quarterback.
Bewteen him & Miller calling the plays, they would have a great one, two punch.
It kind of sounds like Barresi will be going to the Peg anyway.

STEVIE BAGGS ???????
Do you think that Stevie Baggs will make the N.F.L. ?
I don't think he will.He only signed a one year contract, so that in itself tells me that his chances of making the team r from "SLIM-2-NONE"
By what he said on the D.R.S.S.it doesn't sound like he plans on coming back 2 the Riders if he desn't make it down south.
Can anyone tell me why Baggs didn't stay with Edmonton, or Winnipeg?
By the way he played last year, I would guess it wasn't due to his not playing well.
I never heard of him being of any problems in the clubhouse.
If anyone can fill me in on this, pls do.

LaPolice
I really don't think it will be hard to replace Paul.
It seemed to me that he ran a pretty basic offence, with the odd wrinkle thrown in once in awhile.
I wish him all the best of luck in his debut as head coach with Winnipeg.
With what the Bombers have @ the present time, he is going to need allot of "LUCK"on his side.
