After an investigation that began more than three years ago, police have laid a fraud charge in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the First Nations University of Canada.

The RCMP Commerical Crimes Unit in Regina says it's served a summons for a 57 year old man formerly of Regina to appear in court next month. His name hasn't been released.

He's charged with one count of defrauding the university of money, an amount more than five thousand dollars.
