The year of Weston Dressler continues in Riderville.

The Riders most outstanding player nominee, and west division All-Star can now add CFL All-Star to his resume for the 2012 season.

"It's pretty cool to be a part of that, to have your peers and the media and the coahces around the league have that respect for me," said Dressler. "It's greatly appreciated."

The league announced it's All-Star team Monday, and the Riders slot back was the only member of the green and white to make the cut. Fellow receiver Chris Getzlaf and offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte were previously named west division All-Stars.

"There's a lot of guys on our team this year that were definitely worthy of making it on that list," said Dressler. "There's probably a lot of other guys in this league on other teams that were worthy of being on it too, but when you look at it, there's only a few that can get on there. So, there's it seems every year there's guys that get left out."

Not surprisingly Dressler admits that he doesn't really go into a season thinking about putting up career highs, and being named an All-Star. It's all about winning, and being a team guy.

While it's been a very memorable year for Dressler, it's not his play that he'll remember the most.

"There's a lot of changes this year on this team," he said. "We really had a different look and feel to us in the locker room. Kind of getting used to that as a player."

Dressler led the league in touchdowns in 2012 with 13, two more than second place Chris Williams. Dressler was also fifth in yards (1,206), and finished tied for second in catches with Nik Lewis (94). All of those are career highs. It's also the fourth time in five season Dressler has gone over 1,000 yards receiving in his career.
