Hopson Announces At Kinsmen Dinner

Saskatchewan Roughrider President and CEO Jim Hopson announced at Saskatoon's Kinsmen Dinner that the Roughriders 2010 Training Camp will take place in the Bridge City.
Hopson didn't announce any dates but the Riders will likely stay in Saskatoon until a day or two before their first preseason game against B.C. June 13th at Mosaic Stadium. Rookie camp will likely start the last week of May.
Hopson also presented guest speaker Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe with Roughrider centennial watches, as the Roughriders celebrate their 100th season.

Miller May Take Larger Role in Offense

Saskatchewan Roughriders Head Coach Ken Miller says the Riders are in the business of change and the last month has been true to his word.
The latest bit of change is offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice taking the head coaching job with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Miller will start the interview process over the weekend but it sounds as though hiring from within is the likely scenario.

Baggs Signs With Cardinals

Roughriders defensive end Stevie Baggs has signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals website reports it is a one-year deal.
Baggs was tied for the league lead in sacks last year and was CFL West All-Star, having a break-out season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2009.
Baggs is due to become a free agent in February. Baggs is being looked at as an outside linebacker in the Cardinals 3-4 defense.
